My art is all about transformation - a celebration of change and possibility- the freedom to be more than one thing.
Words, too, are like this: multiple meanings, multitudes of possible shapes. They feature a lot in my work.
I create layer-rich art using materials that have had another life including metals, paper, glass and textiles, plastic bags, bottles, drinks cans, vintage beads, jewels, found objects.
Realising potential where some may see no value may be genetic! The degrees, higher degrees and professional qualifications may have widened the field (Graphics & Typography, Psychology, Educational Research, Teaching, Psychotherapy) but still I am doing what my Gypsy ancestors did - finding the treasure.
The only right way in art is your own way, your own path, your own exploration and adventure. I encourage you to have fun and have a go.
